Meet Billy Royal
Owner & Builder
Billy is a licensed civil engineer who spent the first half of his career working in land development and municipal stormwater design fields. He then joined the custom home building industry as a design engineer and construction manager.
After years of learning the craft from the ground up, Billy went out on his own and started Royal Building Group. His engineering background brings a unique perspective to custom home building — one rooted in structural integrity, precision, and an understanding that the details behind the walls matter just as much as the finishes you see.
Chris joined the company in January of 2019, bringing over 24 years of experience — starting in commercial construction in 2002 before moving into residential building in 2010. Together, they lead a team that treats every project as an opportunity to exceed expectations.

Dan brings nearly a decade of project management experience in custom home building across the Charlotte region. He keeps job sites running on schedule through disciplined coordination, transparent client communication, and the kind of documentation rigor that catches issues before they become problems.
Melinda
Design Coordinator
Nearly a decade of experience in residential remodeling gives Melinda a rare edge — she doesn't just coordinate selections, she understands the build process behind them. Capable of managing small to mid-size remodels, she bridges the gap between design vision and job site reality.
Brenda
Controller
A seasoned business professional with over 20 years in financial management, HR, and operations across construction and service industries. Brenda oversees accounting, compliance, subcontractor administration, and the financial health of every project.
